Job Role
Junior Engineer will design, build and support cloud-native applications and microservices on Java and AWS stack for Amex GBT technology team.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with modern Java (JDK 17/21/25+) and Spring Boot for backend services
- Understanding of AWS serverless tools like Lambda, DynamoDB, CDK, Amplify and related cloud services
- Front-end knowledge using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery or AngularJS
- Good problem-solving skills with exposure to REST APIs, JSON/XML and basic CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins and Docker
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain serverless and microservice-based applications using Java, Spring Boot and AWS services
- Work on full-stack solutions including APIs, data persistence and basic front-end integration as per project needs
- Troubleshoot production and lower environment issues through log analysis, tracing and performance tuning
- Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare low-level design, follow coding standards and participate in code reviews
