Job Role

The Software Engineer will design, build and support scalable Salesforce-based applications for Principal Global Services in a hybrid setup at Pune.

Required Skills

- Strong Salesforce knowledge across configuration, development, integration and administration (must have)
- Hands-on experience or solid academic exposure to Salesforce platform features like objects, flows, security and deployments
- Good understanding of JavaScript for building client-side logic and UI interactions
- Familiarity with Apex programming, triggers and automation flows is preferred
- Exposure to Java and AWS cloud services will be an added advantage
- Understanding of Agile ways of working – sprints, user stories, backlog and ceremonies
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow coding standards
- Good analytical skills to translate business needs into technical design
- Clear communication skills to work with product owners and cross-functional teams
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn new tools and contribute to team initiatives

Job Responsibilities

- Study business and functional requirements and convert them into practical Salesforce solutions
- Develop, configure and enhance Salesforce applications using standard features and custom development where needed
- Write and maintain Apex classes, triggers, flows and other automation components as per design
- Build integrations between Salesforce and other systems using approved integration patterns and tools
- Create and execute unit tests to validate functionality and ensure good code coverage
- Participate in system testing, identify defects and work on timely fixes
- Prepare technical documentation, design notes and deployment instructions for assigned modules
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and other engineers to align on solution approach and timelines
- Take part in Agile ceremonies, share progress regularly and raise risks early
- Continuously update skills through training, self-learning and knowledge sharing within the team
