Job Role

As an SDET1 at WeWork India, you will focus on building and executing manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality product releases across web, mobile and API platforms.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test case design, defect tracking and reporting techniques.
• Good programming knowledge in at least one language, preferably Java, for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Hands-on exposure to automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Maven, TestNG and Page Object Model (POM).
• Familiarity with web application testing, mobile application testing and REST API testing workflows.
• Basic knowledge of performance or load testing tools like JMeter or similar will be an added plus.
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum practices, sprint-based delivery and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to modern automation solutions like Playwright, TestSigma, Cursor or other AI-assisted tools will be advantageous.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving attitude and clear communication skills for working with developers and product owners.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement discussions to understand product features and convert them into detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform end-to-end manual testing of new and existing features to identify functional, usability and regression defects before release.
• Design and implement robust automated test scripts for web, mobile and API layers using the defined tech stack (Java, Selenium, TestNG, etc.).
• Execute automation suites regularly, analyze failures, debug issues and update scripts or test data as needed.
• Contribute to improving and maintaining the shared automation framework, utilities and reusable components within the QA team.
• Work closely with Developers and Product Owners to prioritize defects, support quick fixes and ensure smooth release cycles.
• Document test coverage, maintain clear test reports and share quality status for each build or release.
• Continuously explore areas for process optimization, better test coverage and improved reliability of the overall quality engineering practice.
